History of the Student Guide to Pittsburgh
Since 1976, Student Guide to Pittsburgh has been
helping college students who are new to the Greater Pittsburgh area find
stuff. Created by a former international graduate student at PITT, it was designed to include everything from health services and a place to live to
book stores and a new favorite place to eat!
Student Guide to Pittsburgh is printed and made available
for distribution in August each year to students on campuses
ALL OVER TOWN through orientation and new student programs, housing
services, and student life programs. Student Guide to Pittsburgh
is NOT campus-specific. It is available to students at schools such as:
Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), University of Pittsburgh (PITT), Carlow
College, Chatham University, Point Park College, Robert Morris University
(RMU), Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC), Duquesne University
— plus The Art Institute, ICM, Pittsburgh Technical Institute, Western
School, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, etc.
New students have more to discover
than the location of the library or the number for the counseling office.
