Medical Insurance for College Students:
Policies are offered through Assurant Health.

• Student Medical Insurance:
  • Who is eligible?
    • A healthy full-time* college student under the age of 30.
    • A student attending a state-accredited college or university. (Must be listed in the Higher Education Directory.)
    • A student who maintains full-time status for minimum of 31 days following the effective date of the policy.
  • Compare our prices and benefits to your current college-required insurance.
  • Assurant’s Student Medical Insurance can be carried over to temporary or permanent insurance after graduation.

*Full-time is defined as an undergraduate student taking nine or more college credits of a full-time student graduate student.

• Temporary medical insurance:
  • Short term medical insurance for 30 to 365 days for people who are:
    • Between jobs or laid off
    • Looking for a lower-cost alternative to COBRA
    • Recent college graduates
    • Waiting for employer-sponsored coverage
    • Temporary or seasonal employees

• Permanent medical insurance:
  • For coverage on a long-term or permanent basis
