Bulimia Nervosa Treatment Study in Pittsburgh

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center announces a new clinical psychotherapy trial for bulimia nervosa (BN). This study will compare two different ways to deliver cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which is the treatment of choice for Bulimia Nervosa. Patients will be assigned by chance to either face to face group CBT or an internet-delivered CBT with a therapist-moderated chat group. There is no cost for participating in this trial. If you are 18 years or older and have a home computer with internet access, you may be eligible. Please contact the Research Coordinator at 412-647-1776 or cbt4bn@upmc.edu for more information.

This study has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and is in collaboration with the University of North Carolina.
